#Product Review- The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution

[Note: Skincare is subjective, so effects may vary & make sure to patch test every product on your skin. I would be reviewing different products hereafter, so keep an eye on the "ProductReviews" section of the blog. You can look out for skincare products reviews in near future.]

The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution retails for INR 1,595 for 50ml. I bought this product because I was looking for a light weight serum that isn't too harsh and targets acne & excessive oil production of the skin.

The brand describes the product as:

This lightweight daily solution helps combat blemishes and improves the overall condition of skin. Enriched with Community Trade tea tree oil, it helps skin look and feel purified, clearer and mattified, with imperfections* appearing reduced. *Tone, texture and oiliness
100% vegan
Enriched with Community Trade tea tree oil from the foothills of Mount Kenya
Helps combat blemishes and improve the overall condition of skin

The claims seems to be pretty straightforward , now let's dig if its worth the shot or not.

PROS:

  • It was light weight.

  • It soothed my active acne and controlled the severity of future breakouts to an extent.

  • It didn't make me too oily within few hours of application (unlike other serums).

  • It didn't clog my pores.

CONS:

  • It didn't show any effect on the tone and texture of the skin.

  • It didn't budge any blemish of the skin, i.e, marks, spots and discolorations.

  • After a while, skin gets used to the product thus reducing its efficiency. So, to avoid that one can give the skin a break from using this product & reuse the serum after few weeks or a month to show good enough results.

  • It is pricey.

Having dissected its claims, it all boils down to if I recommend it or not?

I do recommend this product. But I would not suggest my readers to not expect a lot if your skin is really going through a very rough time. The product mostly only does what it promises. If you have oily skin and get acne occasionally & isn't severe, then this product is perfect to keep the skin in good shape. And if you are breaking out a lot, this serum won't aggravate the skin further and help in calming the skin issues down for the time being, but not completely curing it.
