#Product Review- CGG Vit C Mist

[Note: Skincare is subjective, so effects may vary & make sure to patch test every product on your skin. I would be reviewing different products hereafter, so keep an eye on the "ProductReviews" section of the blog. You can look out for skincare products reviews in near future.]

CGG (Clean, Green , Gorgeous) is Anusha Dandekar's brand & the vision behind the brand is "Whatever your Brown(skin-tone), it's beautiful". Its a really great conversation starter in Indian Market among consumers who tend to reach out for skin- lightening product, such demand stems out from various insecurities, societal expectation or even obsession. And let's be real and face it, no product can change your skintone.

CGG Vitamin C Mist retails for Rs.201 for 100ml. I bought it because I was looking for a light-weight rose water which had additional benefits of some sort.

The brand describes the product as:
Vitamin c facial mist has powerful astringent properties which purifies the skin by cleaning and tightening the pores, it reduces signs of ageing which gives you a brightening and smoother skin tone
The combination of antioxidant rich vitamin c and aloe vera provides excellent support for a healthy glowing complexion, vitamin c face mist helps to promote a brighter skin for healthy looking glow
CGG products are paraben-free, sulphate-free, dermatologist-tested and are made from globally sourced ingredients

The claims seems to be pretty straightforward , now let's dig if its worth the shot or not.

PROS:

  • It is amazingly cheap.

  • It was light weight and comfortable watery texture.

  • Gives a healthy glow.

  • It can act as all-in-one hydrator for extremely oily skin during summers on the days when applying any moisturizers seems too much. It has Aloe-Vera in it so it gives a light moisturization as well. But do follow up with a sunscreen, CGG offers a mist-sunscreen as well which would be perfect for oily skin but the only trouble is that it mostly remains "out of stock"

  • Made in India

  • The brand has a great vision of keeping the products simple and affordable.

  • Didn't clog pores

CONS:

  • Didn't notice any tightening of pores

  • Oily skin gals might have to follow up with a mattifying sunscreen or moisturizer to prevent getting shiny quickly. Since, the product just on its own will make you oily within few hours.

Having dissected its claims, it all boils down to if I recommend it or not?

I do recommend this product. But I would not suggest my readers to not expect a lot if your skin is really going through a very rough time. The product mostly only does what it promises. It is a very affordable and home-grown product which has no-non-sense ingredients in it. A perfect mist on the go!

Hope you found this review helpful!
